Privacy Policy

ShrinkShot Cam is designed with privacy in mind. This policy explains what information the app does — and does not — collect, how permissions are used, and how your photos are stored.

Effective date: 26 July 2026 · Last updated: 3 August 2026

1. Overview

ShrinkShot Cam (“the App”) is an iOS camera application that lets you capture photographs at selectable resolutions and save them to your device. The App does not require login, does not create user accounts, does not collect analytics that identify you, does not display advertising, does not track users across apps or websites, and does not sell personal information.

Photographs captured with ShrinkShot Cam are stored locally in Apple’s Photos library on your device. The App does not upload your photographs to our servers.

2. Information collected

We do not collect personal information through the App. ShrinkShot Cam does not require an email address, name, phone number, or account credentials.

In particular, the App does not:

  • Create or manage user accounts
  • Collect advertising identifiers for tracking
  • Collect analytics that identify you as an individual
  • Upload photographs to our infrastructure
  • Sell, rent, or trade information about you

If you contact us by email for support, we will receive whatever information you include in your message (such as your email address and a description of the issue). We use that information only to respond to your request and to improve the App where relevant.

3. Permissions

ShrinkShot Cam requests only the system permissions needed for core camera functionality. You can change these permissions at any time in iOS Settings.

Camera

Why it is requested: Camera access is required to capture photographs. Without Camera permission, the App cannot take photos.

Camera frames are processed on your device to create the photograph you capture. They are not streamed to us or stored on our servers.

Photo Library

Why it is requested: Photo Library access is required to save captured photographs into Apple’s Photos app on your device.

The App uses this permission to write the photos you take into your library. It does not upload your existing photo library to external services.

Location

Why it is requested: Location permission is optional and is used only if you choose to include GPS metadata in your photographs — similar to Apple’s Camera app.

When enabled, GPS coordinates may be written into the photo’s metadata and remain on your device unless you choose to share the photo with someone else or another service. If you deny Location permission, you can still use ShrinkShot Cam; photos will simply not include GPS location metadata.

4. Data storage

Photographs are stored locally on your iPhone (or other supported Apple device) inside Apple’s Photos library. Storage, backup, and sync behaviour for those photos is controlled by Apple’s Photos and iCloud settings on your device — not by ShrinkShot Cam servers.

App preferences you set (such as a selected resolution) may be stored locally on your device so the App can remember your choices. These preferences are not transmitted to us.

5. Data sharing

We do not share, sell, or disclose your photographs or personal information to third parties for advertising, analytics profiling, or marketing.

If you share a photo yourself — for example through Messages, Mail, or another app — that sharing is initiated by you and governed by the privacy practices of the service you choose.

6. Third-party services

ShrinkShot Cam does not integrate advertising networks, third-party analytics SDKs that identify you, or social login providers.

Distribution through the Apple App Store is subject to Apple’s terms and privacy practices. Apple may process purchase and download information according to its own policies.

7. Children

ShrinkShot Cam does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The App does not require accounts or solicit personal data. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us via email support, please contact us and we will delete that information from our correspondence records.

8. Security

Because photographs remain on your device, their security depends primarily on your device passcode, biometrics, and Apple platform protections. We encourage you to keep iOS updated and to use a strong device passcode.

Support emails you send us are protected with standard email security practices, but email is not a perfectly secure medium. Please avoid including sensitive personal data that is not needed to resolve your request.

9. Policy updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, legal requirements, or our practices. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy where permitted by law.

Material changes that affect how we handle personal information obtained through support correspondence will be reflected clearly on this page.
